President's Message

To All PNASD Members and Stakeholders:

I am thrilled to assume the role of President of the Philippine Nurses' Association of San Diego (PNASD) from 2024 to 2026. As we embark on this journey, we stand on the shoulders of those who laid the groundwork when PNASD was established in 1974. It is a profound honor to earn the trust of PNASD members and serve as the 33rd president during our esteemed organization's 50th-anniversary celebration, a significant milestone that underscores our enduring commitment to nursing excellence.

Stepping into this pivotal position, I have outlined key initiatives that resonate with the core mission of PNASD: professional education, environmental stewardship, community engagement, diversity and inclusivity, and health and wellness. These are not just my initiatives, but our initiatives. I passionately believe that by working together on these focal areas, we can fortify PNASD's vision for the next 50 years and future generations.

A paramount goal of my tenure is to reinvigorate collaborations with nursing minority groups in San Diego. By forging partnerships with organizations such as NAHN, SSBNA, Men in Nursing, and other healthcare entities, we can amplify our collective voice and advocate for nursing's future with policymakers.

Central to our mission is the enhancement of knowledge and the advancement of nursing practice. I am committed, without reservation, to introducing innovative strategies that benefit PNASD members and the broader nursing community. But I am especially passionate about supporting nursing students. Through initiatives like the SLC and Balik Aklatan projects, we aim to provide essential resources to nursing schools in the Philippines, fostering the growth of future nursing leaders.
